Run Internet Explorer 5/6/7 Natively in OS X

Without using Parallels, Crossover or Bootcamp, or even having a Windows Partition! Today we’ll be using Wine to emulate Windows and run all version of Internet Exlorer, which will make for a much lighter overall system footprint. It will also integrate perfectly into OS X.

I get asked this one a lot by web developers so I thought I would throw this up here for posterity. Not everyone wants to taint their Mac by running full blown Windows on it (am I right?), but if you’re a web developer it’s pretty critical that you build pages that render properly in Internet Explorer. If you have done this type of work on *nix you might remember using a great tool named ies4linux. Well you guessed it, ies4osx was recently ported to the Mac by Mike Kronenberg.

Note: This only works on Intel based processors. Sorry PPC users.

Owen Wilson was reported in good condition Monday, a day after he was taken from his home by ambulance, a hospital spokeswoman said.

"I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," the 38-year-old actor said in a statement released through publicist Ina Treciokas.

No further comments were expected, she said.

Wilson was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, said hospital spokeswoman Cynthia Harding. He was initially taken to St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica.

He "is here in good condition," Harding said.

It wasn't known why Wilson was hospitalized, but a neighbor said a police car, fire truck and ambulance were outside the actor's gated house around noon Sunday.

"These guys were kind of taking their time taking a stretcher out of the ambulance, then they went into the house," said neighbor Geoffry White, 61, who lives directly across the street.

Santa Monica Fire Battalion Chief Jose Torres said Monday the department responded to a call that involved Wilson. The chief wouldn't comment on Wilson's injuries or condition, citing federal privacy laws.

Wilson's screen credits include "Wedding Crashers" and "You, Me and Dupree." He was nominated for a screenwriting Oscar for 2001's "The Royal Tenenbaums."

Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies removed 12 distressed pit bulls from the Phoenix area home of rapper-turned-actor DMX in a raid that also found a number of firearms, police said on Friday.

Sheriffs' office spokesman Capt. Paul Chagolla said DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, 36, was not at home during the raid.

"We served an initial search warrant for animal neglect, and 12 pit bulls were removed," Chagolla told Reuters by telephone.

"There are weapons in the home, and we are in the process of obtaining an amended warrant," he added.

Chagolla said no arrests have been made in connection with the raid. He said an ongoing investigations at the home "would determine what charges may be bought and against and whom."

Simmons has sold 20 million albums. The most recent, the "Year of the Dog ... Again" was brought out last year. The cover depicts DMX restraining a snarling pit bull on a chain.

He is best known as actor for appearances in films including "Romeo Must Die" and "Exit Wounds" in 2000 and 2001, has a long history of brushes with the law.

In 2002 he pleaded guilty in New Jersey for animal cruelty for neglecting 13 pit bulls, according to news reports. As part of his sentence he did a public service announcement against animal abuse.

Simmons' representatives at the William Morris Agency in Los Angeles could not be reached for comment.

Chagolla said the dogs are now in the care of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. He added that it had not determined if they had been involved in fighting activities.

The raid came as Atlanta Falcons' quarterback Michael Vick admitted guilt on Friday in a dogfighting case, prompting the National Football League to suspend the star player indefinitely.

Vick, 27, admitted in a plea agreement he took part in an illegal, interstate dogfighting enterprise known as "Bad Newz Kennels" from 2001 through April 2007.

Video-sharing Web site YouTube has met with harsh criticism in Germany for hosting clips that incite racial hatred, according to a news report due to be broadcast on German public TV late on Monday.

The videos hosted on YouTube include clips of a 1940 anti-Semitic propaganda film "Jud Suess" and two music videos of outlawed German far-right rock band Landser, which show footage from World War II depicting Nazi military operations.

Report Mainz, which is due to air the program, said in a statement that Social Democrat (SPD) parliamentarian Dieter Wiefelspuetz said airing the clips on YouTube in Germany was scandalous. Report Mainz quoted him as saying: "Publishing these films amounts to aiding and abetting incitement of the people."

Report Mainz also said that Germany's Central Council of Jews Vice President Salomon Korn was considering pressing charges against Google Germany.

According to the statement from Report Mainz, German youth protection body Jugendschutz.net has complained to Google Germany more than 100 times and asked Google (GOOG.O), which bought YouTube last year, to remove the clips.

Some of the material has been on the site for almost a year.

Google Germany was not immediately available for comment.

Idaho senator arrested in airport

Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho pleaded guilty this month to misdemeanor disorderly conduct after being arrested at the Minneapolis airport.

A Hennepin County court docket showed Craig pleading guilty to the disorderly conduct charge Aug. 8, with the court dismissing a charge of gross misdemeanor interference to privacy.

The court docket said the Republican senator paid $575 in fines and fees. He was put on unsupervised probation for a year. A sentence of 10 days in the county workhouse was stayed.

Roll Call, a Capitol Hill newspaper, which first reported the case, said on its Web site Monday that Craig was arrested June 11 by a plainclothes officer investigating complaints of lewd conduct in a men's restroom at the airport.

Craig said in a statement issued by his office that he was not involved in any inappropriate conduct.

"At the time of this incident, I complained to the police that they were misconstruing my actions," he said. "I should have had the advice of counsel in resolving this matter. In hindsight, I should not have pled guilty. I was trying to handle this matter myself quickly and expeditiously."

Craig, 62, is married and in his third term in the Senate. He is up for re-election next year. He was a member of the House for 10 years before winning election to the Senate in 1990.

He has been one of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's top Senate supporters, serving as a Senate liaison for the campaign since February. As word spread of Craig's guilty plea, a Romney campaign spokesman, Matt Rhoades, said in a statement: "Senator Craig has stepped down from his role with the campaign. He did not want to be a distraction and we accept his decision."

Sidney Smith, a Craig aide in Boise, said Monday afternoon that the senator was "in the (Boise) area" but was declining to give interviews.

Minneapolis airport police declined to provide a copy of the arrest report after business hours Monday.

Roll Call, citing the report, said Sgt. Dave Karsnia made the arrest after an encounter in which he was seated in a stall next to a stall occupied by Craig. Karsnia described Craig tapping his foot, which Karsnia said he "recognized as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct."

Roll Call quoted the Aug. 8 police report as saying that Craig had handed the arresting officer a business card that identified him as a member of the Senate.

"What do you think about that?" Craig is alleged to have said, according to the report.

Last fall, Craig called allegations from a gay-rights activist that he's had homosexual relationships "completely ridiculous."

Mike Rogers, who bills himself as a gay activist blogger, published the allegations on his Web site, http://www.blogactive.com, in October 2006.

Craig hasn't said if he plans to run for a fourth term in 2008. An announcement was expected this fall. His spokesman, Smith, was uncertain if Craig's guilty plea would affect his re-election plans.

"It's too early to talk about anything about that," Smith told The Associated Press.

SOME AIDS victims were being buried alive in Papua New Guinea by relatives who could look after them and fear becoming infected themselves, a health worker said today.

Margaret Marabe, who spent five months carrying out an AIDS awareness campaign in the remote Southern Highlands of the South Pacific nation, said she had seen five people buried alive.

One was calling out "Mama, Mama'' as the soil was shovelled over his head, said Ms Marabe, who works for a volunteer organisation called Igat Hope, Pidgin English for I've Got Hope.

"One of them was my cousin, who was buried alive,'' she said.

"I said, 'Why are they doing that?' And they said, 'If we let them live, stay in the same house, eat together and use or share utensils, we will contract the disease and we too might die'.''

Villagers had told her it was common for people to bury AIDS victims alive.

Ms Marabe appealed to the Government and aid agencies to ensure the HIV/AIDS awareness program in cities and towns was extended to the rural areas, where ignorance about the disease was widespread.

Women accused of being witches have been tortured and murdered by mobs holding them responsible for the apparently inexplicable deaths of young people stricken by the epidemic, officials and researchers say.

A recent United Nations report said PNG was facing an AIDS catastrophe, accounting for 90 per cent of HIV infections in the Oceania region.

El Laberinto del Fauno 'Pan's Labyrinth' A review!

Before we even start i musts say this:
This movie would have been fucking rad if it did not have meaningless violence in it. This move had everything going for it, then when i had to sit and watch this Spaniard captain graphically bash this mans face in with a wine bottle the movie confused me. Is this a well made (up to this point) visually stunning movie or is this some kind of sadistic garbage looking to shock a Mexican and ultimately American audience? Why fuck this up?

Synopsis: In post-Civil War northern Spain in 1944, a 12-year-old girl, Ofelia (Ivana Baquero), moves with her heavily-pregnant mother and stepfather into a new home in the countryside. Her stepfather, Captain Vidal (Sergi López) has been sent to this remote area to rid it of a small Republican militia. Disliked by the sadistic Vidal, Ofelia, who revels in ancient stories and fairy tales, discovers an immense and ancient labyrinth guarded by a faun (Doug Jones). He tells her she is the long-lost daughter of Hades, the Greek god of the Underworld, and to regain entry to her kingdom she must carry out three tasks. So Ofelia enters a strange and no less dangerous world of fairies and extraordinary creatures such as the terrifying Pale Man (also played by Doug Jones).

Now this movie had some real amazing visuals, but the endless shootings and stabbings and the ultimate death of the little girl fucking sucked. She spends all this time freaking out over this quest and her sick mother who is under a mind meld from this Spanish caption. The are all living in this spooky war torn forest in early 20th century Spain during the civil war.

The little girl who is obviously stressed out and on the edge over her fucked up situation finds her way to this pretty cool fantasy world hidden in a labyrinth in the woods. Being lead by an insect fairy she meets a 'Fauno' (Pan) that lives in this labyrinth. He leads her to on some quests in hopes of her becoming a princess. All of this is makes for a good and fascinating movie and story. But then the mexican horror director (Guillermo del Toro, who calls himself "the geek from Guadalajara,") takes it to a shitty place with mass shootings to the head and stabbings and a screaming women with a bleeding vagina that a baby is about to burst from. All of this ends with the little girl who you grow to love getting shot meaninglessly buy a demented Spaniard with a hard on for war and carrying on his bloodline, at the same point this freak (the pan) is demanding she spill the blood of an innocent so she can live forever. Mind you all this shit goes on while she has her infant brother in her hands.

I know im going off and leaving a lot out, but this could have been a mint film, but the stupid killings and more than graphic beatings could have been left out. I want my fucking $9.50 back. As soon as i can im going to download this movie and edit it the right way and make it was it was supposed to be. A movie about a young girl dealing with all the trauma of war and the trauma of girlhood, ultimately discovering. She is wanted and special. A place of tragedy and magical fantasy and darkness.

Again, Why fuck this up?

I think we need to get real with illigals in a very simple way, every single illegal needs to be documented. No more free school and free medical. No more anything till they can show valid ID.

Every time there is a gathering of illegals they all need to be arrested, finger printed and given a TAX ID # and an official ID card and then set free. Same goes for anyone wishing to enter this country for work. All jobs must be offered to American natives at a living wage before any newcomer can be chosen for work, this living wage should be no less then the amount needed to support and house ones self according to real demographics in the community they reside in. Non-native workers would be paid a wage at agreed upon by the employer and employee and can not be less than 75% of the said living wage. These wage rules would not be enforced when hiring persons under the age of 18, in such a case the local minimum wage would apply.

Companies not abiding by this should be fined $10G for each offense. Companies would receive incentives for hiring native workers. Any native worker that works more then 15 hrs a week must be provided with comprehensive heath benefits. The same would go for non-native workers, but only after 40 hrs of work a week for 36 weeks. Any one could pay for private insurance at any time.

Any company caught hiring illegals should be fined $10G for each offense, this fine can be waved if the company participates in a program in which at the time of hiring the illegal must show some kind of valid ID issued by the US or submit finger prints and be issued such an ID.

The only government documents printed in a language other than English should be information on how to participate in the government to program for worker documentation and information on emergency medical care.

Any emergency medical care would also require you to be fingerprinted and documented and issued a government ID. This would be waved if you show a pass port or visa and can prove you will be laving this country with in 30 days. In any case you would be billed for any medical care unless you meet all the described terms above.

All sanctuary laws need to be abolished with a constitutional amendment. Any tax-exempt organization found to be harboring or protecting illegals from government documentation would be stripped of their tax-exempt status.

Every student enrolling in elementary school for the first time must have a parent or guardian show proof that they are authorized to be in this country and prove that contribute to property and school taxes. All this can be done with the ID they are issued in the above described way.

Anyone openly not abiding by any of these rules would be arrested and documented and then be barred from reentry, if found again in illegally in America the first offence would be a felony.

Whats been freaking me out, this using credit / debit cards for everything. Now its not that Im opposed to it , its just what the people Im handing it to are doing with MY card.

Like the other day, I walk in to a local store and Im getting some food. I hand my card to the nice girl and she swipes it in the device and holds in her hand. Time is ticking and I see her flipping my card around in her hands, rubbing her wart ravaged digits around my card. Her fingers look like a cobra has mauled them. Or some kind of rouge flesh eating bacteria has infested them.

Then BEEP! I get my card back.

I wanted to test it for a "staph infection" before I put it back with the Other cards in my wallet but fuck it, right? Im sure she washes her hands. Besides I'm hungry and have better things to do then entertain my hypochondria.

So later on the day Im at the park walking my dog and some dust blows in my eye and I swiftly rub my eye. I remember how you should always wash your hands like I hoped the nice girl with the sand blasted lobster claws for hands did, but I said, Fuck it

My dog starts barking at some ducks and as i scan around the area to see what is going on. I see an old man using pastels to draw a picture of the ducks. How sweet.

Then what do I see? The lovely girl from the store changing a diaper on a park bench and I notice some infant feces gets on her pockmarked and gnarled hands.

The death beetles of Long Island

Last-night i took my clothes out of the wash and just put them on the floor in my room i was to lazy to put them away. So when i get i up take a pair of boxers out of the pile and go to put them on then i see this crazy thing in them. I FREAKED OUT! I put them down and took this pic! I would have went nuts if this thing wound up on my zone. It was pissed to, im sure it would have crunched on my nuts.

As mean as it looks, I dont know what would have happened if that thing clamped down on my parts, I would have had be rushed to the ER because i would have needed a hand full of Xanax to calm down.

Now these are some kind of shitty beetles we get in this part of Long Island every summer. Some of them get like 3 inches long. I hate them. They are nasty too. They fly right in your hair and clamp down. Some times my cat will find one and it will clamp on her nose. My dog just eats them. Now I think it might be this, but im not sure..

Let this be a warning to others.

Singing Japan PM tours Graceland

Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has visited the home of his musical hero, Elvis Presley, as a guest of US President George W Bush.
Mr Koizumi burst into song with a few bars of "Love Me Tender" in the Jungle Room of Graceland on a private tour led by the singer's ex-wife.

The tour is being widely seen as Mr Bush's thank-you to a loyal ally who is due to step down in September.

The visit follows talks that focused on N Korea and beef imports on Thursday.

Then, amid the Hawaiian-style furniture and a waterfall feature in the room where Elvis used to relax, Mr Koizumi serenaded the US president and his wife.

"Love me tender," he sang, and then, draping his arm around Lisa Marie, moved on to "Hold me close, hold me tight" - the opening lines of "I want you, I need you, I love you".

"Much in common", At a state dinner on Thursday to mark what has been dubbed the "sayonara summit" (sayonara means goodbye in Japanese), Mr Koizumi had quoted the same song in a toast to continued US-Japanese relations. "Like you, he had great hair," he said to laughter from the guests. "Like you, he was known to sing in public. And like you, he won admirers in countries far from home."

The light-hearted end to Mr Koizumi's visit follows a day of talks on more serious issues in Washington on Thursday. Both leaders warned North Korea on claims it is planning to test-fire a long-range missile thought to have Alaska within its range.

Mr Bush thanked Mr Koizumi for Japan's support in Iraq and Afghanistan and hailed the country's decision to restore beef imports from the US after fears over a cow with bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).

Mr Koizumi said there had been no other world leader with whom he had shared the same "heart-to-heart" friendship and trust.

I'm getting sick of radical Islam. I never EVER had an issue. But seeing the riots in the Middle East over this cartoon bull shit is making me sick. They even shot a priest just because he was a Christian.

Now I blame Jews and Christians for a lot of different things but Islam is totally out of control right now. Between the terror attacks, bombings, riots in France and just the general bull shit from them is getting on my nerves. Now they want the UN to outlaw depictions of Mohammad? What bullshit.

I see it as an oppressive religion. One that actively has plans to enslave the world in to Stone Age times. That's just what I think. I hate all monotheistic religions. My real gripe with conservative radical Islam is the old world non progressive attitude toward homosexuality, women and non-believers. A few years back I was going to a mosque off and on. Reading the Koran I found it to much different than I expected. Watching the men praying I did not and can not understand the attitude towards women. The young women at the mosque were not allowed to be around the men or pray with the men. Now I have few friends who are Muslim and have spent a lot of time with them. They have been telling me how many of the people at the mosque and there family members are becoming more and more traditional with there attitudes towards religion.

When I was younger I spent summers in a town in the Catskills that was a summer retreat for a sect of Hasidic Jews from Brooklyn. The women were also second class in their society. I was shocked at how they had to walk behind the men and could not look or talk to anyone. I have this one friend who has become extremely religious. Going to temple constantly and talking more and more about "God" I'm finding similar attitudes from other Jewish friends and people I meet with work.

I found similar behavior when visiting a Mennonite town in Pennsylvania, the second classing of woman and other repressive religious attitudes. I have been finding more and more radical Christian attitudes as well. America seems to be on this destructive march towards fundamentalism. Just look at the attitude towards gays, fertility and science in this country I just think people should feel as they want but never at the cost of other peoples rights. No GOD would want you to do and say things that physically, socially or mentally hurt others.

Now don't get me wrong, i believe in a creator and other aspects of faith but I detest mindless obedience to a fake interpretation of god's word used to enslave weak people. Take evangelicals, radical Islam and extreme conservative Zionism as a guide for destructive religious ideologies.

I know the creator "what or who ever it is" wants me to do what I think is right. If I don't I must answer for it some how. You are the master of your own world and only you can think for your self. I don't have time to have others tell me who or what to be or think.

U.S. officials can open personal mail arriving from abroad as part of the fight against terrorism, and do so when they deem it necessary to protect the country, a Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman said on Monday.

News of the little-known practise follows revelations that the government approved eavesdropping on U.S. citizens without judicial oversight after the September 11 attacks, which sparked concern from civil liberties advocates and some lawmakers who called for congressional hearings.

"Customs and Border Protection is charged with making sure that terrorists and terrorists' weapons don't enter the country," said Suzanne Trevino, a spokeswoman for the customs agency, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security.

"One of our areas of responsibility is to inspect international mail coming into our country," she said. "We respect privacy and always keep that at the forefront, but at the same time we need to make sure we do our job in keeping U.S. citizens safe."

Customs and Border Protection's web site notes that "all mail originating outside United States Customs territory that is to be delivered inside U.S. Customs territory is subject to Customs examination."

Grant Goodman, an 81-year-old retired University of Kansas history professor, drew attention to the policy after a letter he received from a colleague in the Philippines was opened and resealed by Customs and Border Protection, and only then sent on to him.

He said he was shocked and amazed that the letter -- which he received last month from another retired history professor with whom he has corresponded for 50 years -- had been screened.

"It was a big surprise," Goodman told Reuters. "The public should know that this is being done. Nobody whom I know had any idea that this was going on. And as far as I know, it's never been announced. It's never been revealed that this is being done."

Trevino said she could not comment specifically on Goodman's case because she had not seen the letter and was not sure if it had been examined as he said. She did not say how often officials open mail for security reasons.

Wal-Mart apologized yesterday after its retail Web site directed potential buyers of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'Planet of the Apes' DVDs to also consider purchasing DVDs with African American themes.

The world's largest retailer said in a statement that it was 'heartsick' over the racially offensive grouping and that the site was linking 'seemingly random combinations of titles.'
'It's just simply not working correctly,' said Mona Williams, vice president of corporate communications for Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The company said it was alerted to the problem early yesterday afternoon after word began spreading among bloggers. When visitors to Walmart.com requested "Planet of the Apes: The Complete TV Series" on DVD, four other movies were recommended under the heading "Similar Items." Its no secret i suffer from two centrally herniated disks and I'm fighting like hell with insurance companies to rid my self of the pain with surgery. But at this point i have been in horrible pain in varying degrees since February 2005. As well as chronic disk pain dating back years.

About 3 hours ago i took vicodin for some back pain, put on At the Earth's Core and passed and had the most unreal dreams of my life. Part of it was i keep waking up but was still asleep, People and things trying to kill me. I would open my eyes in reality but i was so wasted from this drug i felt like i could not see, and i would be brought right back to the terrifying dreams of she demons with some kind of bizarre sexual aspect to them.

Now I'm awake i hope. I'm having a panic attack and I'm freaking out. I have had nightmares from that pill before, BUT NOTHING like this. I have seen many people take this drug for fun, I have a good friend who can eat them like pez, (even puts them in a "MR. T" Pez dispenser). Even i have taken it in the past, had bad dreams but noting like this, this is crazy!

Now that i think of it, i get panic attacks from this crap as well. In fact some of the worst panic attacks of my life.

I will only take this if I'm about to pass out from pain. But i think its trash and a shitty drug. Advil and Xanax would work better. Shit malt liquor and carrot juice even.

Letterman looked like a fool when he said, "I think 60% of what you say is crap" Then he goes on to admit he never watched the show. COME ON!

This kind of stuff makes you look foolish. That's why i watch the show, Fox news and other extreme right misinformation mills. This way i can wage a decent argument when confronted by some right wing nut case.

Cops: Cold wrecked Menorah, But residents say it was HATE!

Suffolk police say Mother Nature is to blame for a smashed menorah in Holbrook, but many residents disagree.

Police say the 10-foot menorah was made of PVC piping which becomes brittle and can crack in the cold. Officials point out that on December 14, the night vandals allegedly wrecked the menorah, the temperature was 14 degrees and the wind was blowing at 29 miles per hour. Police say the biggest piece of evidence was a video surveillance camera at an ATM machine across the street. Police say the tape shows the menorah standing at 6:30 a.m., and then laying on the ground with no apparent tampering.

Many residents and chamber of commerce members find the police explanation hard to swallow. One member said the menorah was covered in kick marks that weather conditions could not make. These residents say the menorah destruction was a hate crime against the Jewish community. Seems like the cold is prone to hatting Jews. Mother nature, one more in a long list of anti Semites.

"GILBOA, Ohio (AP) -- High school student Manuel Bartsch is facing deportation to his native Germany after discovering that his American step-grandfather never completed paperwork eight years ago to make his stay legal in the United States."

But yet, As crazy as that story is it seems that illegals from South and Central America can sue American citizens. As this story from last year reminds us.

Illegal day laborers and other tenants of a Farmingdale apartment building
that's home to about 150 people yesterday sued the owner, claiming he hasn't
made basic repairs and is involved in an effort to rid the village of Hispanics.

The tenants said the 48-unit apartment building at 150 Secatogue Ave. is a horror
story, with rotting pipes, exposed electrical wires, moldy walls, and rats and
other vermin running rampant.

"One doesn't like it, but you have to put up with it," Lucia
Mejia, 57, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, said in Spanish. She said
rats run through her apartment nightly basis, despite the traps she and her
family set.

The owner of the building, John Tosini of Secatogue Realty, could not be
reached for comment. Farmingdale Village officials said they have hit him with
a slew of code violations in the past year. He has paid $10,000 in fines, they
said, with more summonses still pending.

The lawsuit was filed in Nassau County Court in Mineola with the assistance
of the Hempstead-based Workplace Project and three students and a professor
at Hofstra University Law School's housing clinic. The Hofstra team said the
suit asks the court to appoint an administrator to collect all rent, and put
it toward repairing the building until it is in acceptable condition.

The building is at the center of a conflict in the village over the growing
numbers of illegal aliens (In the thousands) who live in the
village, including day laborers who wait on nearby corners for work, being hired
by contractors who do not deduct taxes on there wages ; in direct violation
of federal law.

Carlos Canales of the Workplace Project and other advocates said Tosini
and village officials plan to raze the building and rid the area of illegal
aliens by constructing upscale housing rather than affordable housing.

"They're treating the illegals in this area like roaches," said
Cristina Ruiz Diaz of HOLA, a group of illegal aliens in Farmingdale. "You
squash them and they run away."

Village officials denied they want to cleanse Farmingdale of illegal aliens
and said they have issued numerous summonses to Tosini to make him repair the
building. Farmingdale is "one of the most integrated on Long Island and
everyone gets along," village Mayor George Graf said.

He noted that several private developers are interested in buying 150 Secatogue,
along with an apartment building next door also owned by Tosini and several
nearby houses and businesses.

Local officials have floated a "Secatogue Avenue Redevelopment Plan"
for the six-acre area for several years. This plan would bring much needed property
taxes to the village. The county and village are overwhelmed by the influx of
illegal aliens and there children who attend local schools but who's parents
do not pay any school taxes, most of the school aged children are also on Medicaid.

In October and December, tenants at 150 Secatogue were evacuated from the
building twice in the middle of the night because of a fire and a leaking pipe.
Yesterday, tenants described problems that went beyond that.

Jose Castro, 36, an illegal alien , said water ran constantly out of his
bathroom faucet for two years. The landlord finally fixed it this week.
